The men who created the Christian bible shared some positive and truthful messages, but they also shared many dark messages that promote violence...etc. They claimed, even back then, that God wanted them to kill people, including Jesus. Christians, whose hearts are more open, tend to latch onto only the good messages like, "love thy neighbor" and "thou shalt not kill or steal" and "help the poor"...etc. And other Christians tend to latch onto and use the bible parts that promote violence and prejudice and acts of vengeance. And they have often tried to justify their evil acts with quotes from these parts of the bibles.
So, my point here is that we must face the real facts, which show that Christianity, in general, is seriously flawed because it contains a darkness in the core of not only it's creation, but also its application in many arenas... We can't now claim that the current obvious evil doers "are not Christian", because this is not true - they ARE Christians who are following the dark side of Christianity. This problem is not just a few rogue groups; its a very large part of Christianity, that has existed all around the globe under many different sects. Humanity's history is full of their violent and evil attempts to forcefully Christianize/assimilate human beings against their will, or kill those who refuse to join and obey, even though much of it has been kept hidden! There truly is an evil core to Christianity, that must be realized, for the sake of the safety and wellbeing of humanity, especially since it is still aiming to take over and control the whole world, including the USA since the 1950s.
I was raised Christian. But I now follow no religion, due to things I've witnessed and learned and sensed in my (now 67) years in this lifetime. I now deeply believe in honoring our own natural spirituality and directly connecting to God/LOVE through opening/healing our own HEARTS. My experiences/wisdom has shown me that the real "God" is the pure LOVE and LIGHT that naturally works through the HEART of ALL human beings when our HEARTS are open enough. In fact, I have seen deeper connections to the real God/LOVE in people who do not follow the religions.
It appears that many parts of the Christian bibles were written by (and are still honored by) people who did not even know God/LOVE/LIGHT at all, because their own hearts were too blocked. So, we should NOT blindly follow them or their bibles. And the same goes for other religions. We should always tune into our own HEARTS and do only what feels right to us, no matter what has been written or said by fellow human beings.
I mostly use the word "God" because it is what I was raised with, but to me, that same "God" is also "Wakan Tanka," "Allah," "Great Spirit," "The Universe," "the Highest Power"...etc. I have even jokingly called God "the Commander." No matter what name is used, one core TRUTH remains the same; THE HIGHEST POWER IS LOVE. (Even a good part of the Christian bible says so; "God is LOVE.") And we reach LOVE through our HEARTS.
Healing/opening our own HEARTS, should be our number one priority, because this is what will bring more real LOVE/God/LIGHT into our world.
