Poem - The Proper Measure

The Proper Measure

 Money and position was never
Used in the proper measure
 Of any child, woman or man.
There is a much grander plan.
How much do we help or give?
How kind is the life we live?
How deep and real is our heart?
What impact from our chosen part?
These are the things that matter most
In the grandest societal roles we host.


Inspired by my beliefs and the poem "The Measure of Man," which is one of my favorites since the 1970s.
