Some people have been trying to rewrite history and twist things around, pretending that the current fighting, in Nigeria, is "terroristic targeting of Christians." I felt this to be untrue and did some research, as well as some tuning into my own instincts...
The real TRUTH appears to be that Nigeria is yet another example of a territory that has been messed up by British colonization and it's forced Christianization. The Islam people were actually there, and blending in with the native people, long before the British/Christians came in to take over and disrupt everything.
The British/Christian colonizers/thieves had divided the Nigerian people so that they would not unite in opposition, which is why there are now so many separate ethnic groups there. Needless to say, this was not good for anyone. The problems arising from it still include land disputes and unfair distribution of profits from natural oil and mineral reserves...etc., especially in the most poverty stricken areas - the areas where the people resisted Christianization and colonization more strongly. This is the root of the core problem; people being cruelly invaded and stolen from and abused and neglected for so long that hate settles in and they gather into militant groups to fight. Any "terrorist" label that is given to these situations should first be applied to those who drove these people to this state - the cruel thieving colonizers and their disrespect for other people's religions and traditions and lands and homes and natural resources and lives...etc.
Due to the history here, it would not be surprising if resistance groups were still fighting against the christins/colonizers/thieves, and if they were getting too far out of hand after being so severely abused for so long. BUT, according to many reports on the current situation in Nigeria, including from Nigerian officials; the violence is NOT AGAINST CHRISTIANS. It appears that some people are now trying to claim it is, in order to justify more killings of Islam people and take the focus off of the other real issue - corruption in the old industry and greed depriving and stealing from masses of people who have been forced into extreme poverty. Many reports state that the Islam or Muslim people are actually the ones who have been being killed the most. (And then there is the poor native people, no doubt being used by or hurt by all sides of the fighting when they should have been left in peace in their own lands and with their own traditions to begin with...etc.!!!)
Has the most recent rounds of violent fighting in Nigeria been fueled by outsiders who have an interest in Nigeria's vast oil resources? Most likely it is, as is the case in Sudan.
FACT; When it comes to oil, gold and other natural mineral resources, some of the richest places in the world are Nigeria, Venezuela, Greenland, Sudan, Palestine and the rest of the Middle East. I'm ashamed of Trump's greedy violent and/or threatening behaviors with all of these countries. I hope he finds his heart.
I find it appalling that, in most of these mineral rich places, external greed has left the vast majority of their populations suffering in poverty and externally instigated conflicts. Its the work of pure evil and it has to stop.
