I think that, this year, it is difficult for many American's to celebrate, because our flag has been being torn, and our Statue of Liberty has been being wrapped in chains, by the hateful political fighting between republicans and democrats..., by the violent ice raids and imprisonment of masses of harmless immigrants..., by our farmers and the poor suffering due to a greedy tariff war and aide cuts..., by the targeting of those who stand for real freedom and real truth..., by our tax money funding Israel's genocide and greedy aims to steal resources from other countries and violent barbaric wars...etc.
To me, the most wonderful part of America is in the way it has been a safe place where people can find freedom and a chance for a better life. Our statue of liberty is the symbol for this honorable part of America, and it truly is terribly sad to watch what she stood for being cast away by heartlessness and hate and prejudice. This is a sad time for America.
